Sonesta International Hotels Corporation has announced the launch of its new upper midscale select-service brand, Sonesta Essential. The brand is now available for franchise in the United States of America. Sonesta Franchising debuted in the US in 2021, it now counts 15 brands across 6 segments in its portfolio.
Sonesta Essential will aim to attract franchisees through its streamlined offer of easier new builds and conversions, modest brand standards, limited F&B requirements, and simplified conversion processes.
The new brand’s mission statement is to offer guests a comfortable, clean place to stay with a warm and friendly client experience. Standards will include 24-hour reception, a fitness centre, complimentary hot breakfast, all-day coffee, high-speed complimentary Wi-Fi, and elevated bedding with a unique sleep programme.
The brand’s portfolio currently stands at two American properties. Sonesta Essential Vacaville will a be a franchise once it opens in late spring 2023. Sonesta Essential Chattanooga will be a managed property once converted from the Sonesta Select brand in autumn of this year.
