Rocco Forte Hotels has announced the addition of Palazzo Castelluccio in Noto, Sicily, to its portfolio, marking the group's third property on the island. Scheduled to open in 2026, the historic 18th-century palazzo will be transformed into a 31-room luxury hotel.

The property spans 50,000 square feet and will feature carefully restored architecture, combining historical elements with modern amenities. Located in the heart of Noto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Palazzo Castelluccio is one of the largest noble residences in the Val di Noto region.

Originally constructed in 1782 by the Marquis di Lorenzo del Castelluccio, the palazzo includes grand spaces such as a ballroom, music room, and chapel. The restoration will maintain its neoclassical style while introducing contemporary facilities, including a restaurant, bar, spa, gym, and event space. The design will be led by Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, in collaboration with Olga Polizzi, Rocco Forte’s Director of Design.

“Sicily has a special place at the heart of our brand and the beautiful town of Noto is a destination in itself. The Palazzo Castelluccio is a perfect fit for us, with an inspiring history and enchanting aesthetic that tells the story of its location. Each room will blend inherited charm and contemporary luxury to evoke the same timeless grandeur that fills the rest of the Palazzo.” - Olga Polizzi, Deputy Chairman and Director of Design at Rocco Forte Hotels
