Radisson Hotel Group harbours ambitious growth plans for the year ahead. The group has made a strong start to the year with the signing and opening of several properties across EMEA and APAC.
EMEA
In the first quarter, Radisson Collection opened its fifth property in Italy, signed its second hotel in Brussels and its third in Nigeria, and made its debuts in Lithuania and Uzbekistan.
In the DACH region, the group plans to open four more hotels (1,800+ keys) this year, including properties in Stuttgart and Zürich. It began 2023 with the signing of Berlin’s first Radisson Individuals, as well as another brand property at Munich Airport.
Additionally in the region, two more prizeotel establishments are scheduled to open before the end of the year in Dresden and Dortmund. They will be joined by prizeotel Osnabrück, which RHG signed in Q1 2023.
Radisson Blu has enjoyed continual growth since the start of the year. It has already opened a property in France, its 18th establishment in Poland, and made its debut in Lanzarote. Furthermore, it opened a convention and exhibition centre hotel in Riyadh.
Radisson has kept up its pace as EMEA’s fastest growing upscale brand with the signing and opening of new properties in Greece, Italy, and Saudi Arabia. Its portfolio now boasts more than 150 establishments in operation and development.
APAC
After the lifting of border restrictions related to Covid-19 in China, RHG has signed and opened 20 properties in the country since the beginning of 2023.
Elsewhere in Asia, the group signed its first Radisson RED hotel in Phuket, a new Radisson property in Bangkok, and opened a resort in Hua Hin. These actions have allowed RHG to grow its Thai portfolio to ten properties.
Islamabad has enjoyed a strong concentration of RHG activity in 2023 with the opening of a Radisson Blu, a Park Inn by Radisson, and two Radisson brand properties.
Finally, Radisson Collection has also made its debut signing in Vietnam this year.
We kicked off 2023 with strong landmark signings and openings creating more opportunities to our owners and possibilities to our guests. In Q1, we saw extraordinary growth in EMEA as well as APAC, with a strong focus on DACH, KSA, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, and India. Our unique portfolio of brands for urban and leisure hotels cements Radisson Blu as the largest upper upscale brand in Europe and Radisson as the fastest growing brand in EMEA.
