Preferred Hotel Group, alongside its subsidiaries Preferred Hotels & Resorts and Beyond Green, amongst others, announced its rebranding this month. The company is now called Preferred Travel Group to better reflect its growing suite of services, which today goes beyond just the hotel sector.
The company currently constitutes six brands specialised in hospitality, travel, and sustainability. There are Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Beyond Green, Historic Hotels of America, and Historic Hotels Worldwide, as well two consultancy brands. It also boasts the world’s largest loyalty programme for independent hotels, I Prefer Hotel Rewards.
This rebrand follows the company’s signing of the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism. The declaration aims to encourage its signatories to reduce emissions caused by tourism by at least 50% over this decade and to achieve Net Zero as soon as possible before 2050. Preferred Travel Group has pledged to produce a climate action plan by September of this year.
Our company’s repositioning comes at a time when enthusiasm for the possibilities of travel is at an all-time high. As we look ahead to 2023 and beyond, the simple inclusion of ‘travel’ in our name clarifies what we do and the solutions we provide to both travellers and travel professionals. It is a great honour to be the partner of choice for more than 1,100 one-of-a-kind hotels and an expanding portfolio of global destinations. Our new name represents just how far the Preferred brand has come since it was established by a small group of like-minded hoteliers 55 years ago.
