The Peninsula Hotels has announced the opening of bookings for its new Turkish property ahead of its scheduled opening on 14th February 2023. Guests can now take advantage of an exclusive offer when booking a suite at the luxury hotel.
The Peninsula Istanbul will have 177 rooms, ranging from 40-49 m² guestrooms to larger suites, almost all offering views of the Bosphorus thanks to their large windows, balconies, or private terraces. The rooms will be furnished with bespoke furniture, original pieces of art, contemporary Turkish design pieces, Kilim carpets and Marmara marble bathrooms. The Peninsula Suite will be 510 m² in size and will feature a private hammam, gym and rooftop pool.
The rooftop restaurant-bar will have a capacity of 350 covers and will offer a Turkish-Asian inspired menu. It will offer guests a view of the Bosphorus as well as the hotel's gardens. The Lobby restaurant will be located in a former maritime terminal dating from the early 20th century. With a capacity of 260 covers, it will offer international cuisine and The Peninsula's signature Afternoon Tea.
The hotel will feature a ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,300 people when combined with its terrace. It will also have two conference rooms, VIP dining and wine tasting lounges, and plenty of outdoor space in its flower gardens. Its spa and wellness centre will cover 1,675 m² and will include steam rooms, eight treatment rooms and two 25 m outdoor and indoor pools. The hotel's wellness offering will include fitness and mindfulness meditation classes and workshops, guided workouts, aromatherapy treatments and audio meditation sessions. The property will also boast 250 m of floral gardens stretching along the Bosphorus Strait.
The Peninsula Istanbul will be located on the waterfront in the Karaköy district. The area is known for its many museums, restaurants, and shops, as well as its proximity to local attractions such as the Galata Tower, Hagia Sophia Mosque, the Blue Mosque and Topkapı Palace. The facility will consist of four buildings, three of which date from the early 20th century. These buildings are classified as historical monuments and are undergoing major renovation.
As long-term investors, we always spend several years selecting the ideal location for a Peninsula hotel. We look forward to strengthening our international presence with the opening of The Peninsula Istanbul, with the support of our trusted local partners Dogus and Bilgili. Istanbul is a dynamic and multicultural city, with a rich history dating back thousands of years and a youthful energy that is bursting with vitality. Much care and effort has gone into the lengthy restoration of this beautiful establishment on the Bosphorus, and we are truly looking forward to welcoming both our Turkish guests and international visitors to experience our world-renowned hospitality.
