May 2023: the French hotel industry relies on bank holidays

This year, the French hotel industry benefited from a great month of May, with its many bank holidays, which had a significant impact on the performance of its indicators. The 2023 calendar was particularly favorable to extended weekends, and this was reflected in the results.

In France as a whole, the hotel industry posted a RevPAR of €86.7, 28.8% higher than before the health crisis (reference: May 2019).
