Marriott Expands in Poland

Marriott International, Inc. has unveiled its strategic plan to bolster its footprint in Poland, announcing the anticipated addition of more than 10 properties in the coming years.

This expansion initiative includes the introduction of two new brands, Le Méridien and Element Hotels by Westin, marking Marriott's commitment to growth and diversification in the Polish market.

With these openings, Marriott aims to enrich its portfolio in Poland, where it currently operates 24 properties comprising over 4,500 rooms across 12 brands and eight cities. This expansion aligns with Marriott's broader strategy to strengthen its presence in Eastern Europe, focusing on key leisure and business destinations.

Among these developments, Marriott plans to introduce Le Méridien Krakow Royal in 2025, bringing the brand's European heritage and distinctive programming to Poland. Additionally, the company intends to enhance its Collection brands with the opening of a Tribute Portfolio hotel in Warsaw and an Autograph Collection hotel in Wroclaw. Another Renaissance hotel is also in the pipeline for Gdansk Old City.

Marriott's select service brands will play a significant role in driving growth, with the debut of Element by Westin in Wroclaw and expansions of Four Points by Sheraton in Poznan and Wroclaw by 2025. Moxy Hotels is set to open its fifth property in central Warsaw next year, catering to the hospitality scene in the city.

Furthermore, Marriott plans to augment its luxury portfolio in Poland with the addition of H15 Luxury Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, located within the historic Lubomirski Palace in Krakow.
