Mandarin Oriental Mayfair

Winter 2022 will see the opening of the group’s second London hotel in the city’s famous Hanover Square. Mandarin Oriental Mayfair will operate as a sister property to the already established Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park.

The luxury hotel will feature 50 rooms and 78 private residences, as well as the first Akira Back restaurant in the United Kingdom. The Michelin-starred chef will also import his ABar Lounge concept to the British Isles with the opening of the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair. Finally, the hotel’s spa will boast an 80-foot/24 metre indoor swimming pool, sauna, vitality pool, treatments and a relaxation room.

The hotel will be designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, whilst Japanese studio Curiosity will be the minds behind its interior design. The interiors will feature works by local artists and unique furnishings designed by the studio’s founder, Gwenael Nicolas. Completing the design trio, Studio Indigo will deliver the 28 guestrooms and 22 suites for Mandarin Oriental.

Situated in the heart of Mayfair, the new hotel will be within walking distances of some of the West end’s most famous boutiques, auction houses and art galleries. As such, the hotel will offer guests exclusive access to cultural, as well as gastronomic, events.
