LFPI Group has partnered with a group of private investors to acquire both the premises and goodwill of the Hôtel Le Yachtman in La Rochelle. The 4-star hotel, located in the historic city center near the Vieux Port and La Rochelle’s main attractions, features 46 rooms and a rich legacy, having been previously owned by Michelin-starred chef Jacques Le Divellec.
La Rochelle's status as a growing tourist destination, supported by events like the Grand Pavois boat show and the La Rochelle International Film Festival, makes it an attractive market for LFPI’s hotel expansion. The city's marina, also draws leisure and business travelers, bolstering demand for high-quality accommodations.
"We are delighted with this hotel club deal, which enables the LFPI Group to leverage the expertise it has built up over more than 20 years in the hotel sector with institutional investors for the benefit of private investors wishing to invest in this dynamic and sought-after asset class. This acquisition is representative of our development strategy targeting mid-range, upmarket and luxury assets in strategic locations across Europe. This project also illustrates LFPI's ability to bring together different entities within the group, thus ensuring an optimal alignment of interests for all our investors, as well as a quality of execution unmatched in the market." - Olivier Lange and Nicolas Fleischmann, Chairman and Head of Investments at LFPI Gestion
"With a limited supply of high-quality establishments, a high occupancy rate and limited seasonality for a coastal destination, La Rochelle is a particularly attractive hotel market for investors looking to seize growth and yield opportunities. The acquisition and conversion of Hôtel Le Yachtman is perfectly in line with our strategy of enhancing the value of hotel assets in exceptional locations." - Thierry Bigoni, President of LFPI Hôtels Gestion
The LFPI Group plans a significant renovation of Hôtel Le Yachtman, which will include expanding the room count from 46 to 51, modernizing guest rooms and public spaces, and strengthening its boutique positioning while preserving its historic character.
