Leonardo Vienna Schönbrunn

Leonardo Hotels has become one of the largest hotel chains in Austria following the opening of the eight hotels it acquired from the Star Inn group.

In Vienna, two acquisitions have joined the two existing establishments in Leonardo Hotels’ portfolio. The 300-room Leonardo Vienna Hauptbahnhof is located near Vienna's main railway station, while the 238-room Leonardo Vienna Schönbrunn is close to the much-visited palace of the same name.

The chain is expanding in Salzburg with the addition of Leonardo Boutique Salzburg Gablerbräu (71 keys), Leonardo Hotel Salzburg Airport (90 keys), and Leonardo Hotel Salzburg City Center (86 keys).

The final addition is located in the northwestern city of Linz. The acquisition of the 127-key Leonardo Boutique Linz City Center marks the chain's entry into the country's third-largest city.

To finance the acquisitions and renovation work, Fattal Hotel Group created a hotel fund with an initial capital of €400 million. This fund will subsequently be used to drive the group's continued expansion in Europe.
