Jumeirah announces new CEO

Katerina Giannouka

Dubai Holding has appointed Katerina Giannouka as the new CEO of the Jumeirah Group. Replacing José Silva, the group's first female CEO will take up her new position in December 2022.

Katerina Giannouka completed her undergraduate degree at the Alpine Centre for Hotel & Tourism Management Studies, before going on to do a BSc (Hons) in International Hotel Management at Oxford Brookes University. She has 21 years’ experience in the hotel industry.

In 2001, Katerina Giannouka started her career as a Research Analyst at HVS. After four years with the hospitality-focussed consulting firm, she joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts. At Starwood, she held the positions of Senior Manager of Development Planning, Senior Director of Acquisitions & Development and finally Development Consultant.

Katerina Giannouka then became Vice-President of Development for APAC and China at Rosewood Hotel Group in 2015. Two years later, she joined Radisson Hotel Group as President of Asia Pacific, where she was responsible for leading the company's strategic growth in the region and managing its portfolio of 250 properties.
