InterContinental Tashkent

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of a new luxury hotel in Tashkent by its brand. The new property will open at the end of the year. It comes as part of IHG’s plans to bolster its luxury and lifestyle portfolio by 50 properties in 2022.

InterContinental Tashkent will feature 216 rooms, including 38 suites and 2 Presidential Suites. Its F&B offer will consist of Ember, which will serve up fire-grilled steaks, sushi and shellfish, and No’mad, which will provide Central Asian fare for guests. Chach, a lounge area serving baked goods, coffee and sharing plates will complete the offer.

The hotel will comprise a spa and wellness club with a swimming pool, treatment rooms, a jacuzzi, a sauna and hammam, a split-level gym, a large roof terrace and a pool bar. Its 2,500 m² events venue will be available for weddings, conferences and seminars, and will boast a ballroom, 10 meeting rooms and 4 VIP suites with views over the city.

InterContinental Tashkent is being developed in partnership with UzTur Investment and Development. It will constitute part of the Trilliant Business Park development alongside offices, retail spaces, a landscaped park and a convention centre.

Sustainability is key to the development, and it will be the first LEED Gold Certified project in the country. The hotel will be designed to minimise its environmental impact, as part of this it will provide electric charging points for guests’ cars.

I am delighted to be announcing the introduction of the InterContinental brand to a new growth market with our valued partner UzTur Investment and Development (Trilliant). The project has been thoughtfully considered at every stage, from its embodiment of the InterContinental brand’s modern luxury philosophy to its reflection of IHG’s ambitions to shape the future of responsible travel. InterContinental Tashkent is the perfect example of how we intend to focus on targeted European growth in 2022, bringing our market-leading brands to new and inviting destinations.
