ibis Styles has arrived in the Nordic region following the opening of its first hotel in Copenhagen. Accor’s design-led economy brand has opened the property in partnership with Borealis Hotel Group.
ibis Styles Copenhagen Ørestad is a 186-key hotel with a focus on urban life and the serenity of nature. Its rooms are designed in rich greens and blues, inspired by the surrounding countryside and waterways of the area. They offer views over Copenhagen and the nature reserves in the property’s vicinity.
Its additional amenities include bike rental, a work zone, a relaxation space, a lounge, and family facilities such as a kid’s corner, baby equipment, and family suites. The hotel’s health-themed restaurant, Sunder, serves up breakfast, lunch, and dinner in an easy-going dining and bar area.
The property is part of the Nest45 project and is situated in a DGNB gold multifunctional building in the Ørestad business district. The building was designed by Holscher Nordberg Architects in Copenhagen and its interiors come courtesy of Dutch design house Mulderblauw.
The style of the hotel positions itself at the intersection of nature and urban city living. ibis Styles Copenhagen Ørestad’s interior design features neon quotes, waterfall lighting, and graffitied walls set beside nature scenes, illustrated wallpaper, and floral carpeting.
The hotel stands 15 minutes from the centre of Copenhagen and 19 minutes from Copenhagen Kastrup Airport.
We are thrilled to be opening ibis Styles Copenhagen in the up-and-coming district of Ørestad and to bring the ibis Styles brand to the Nordics. Couples, families, solo travellers, and business guests can expect a stay that brings together nature, culture, and the exciting city of Copenhagen at a great price with some delightful details and an easy-going atmosphere. We can’t wait to welcome them.
