Hyatt’s Independent Collection is continuing its strong growth in the luxury and lifestyle segments and has announced a host of planned openings through to 2025 for its The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, Destination by Hyatt, and JdV by Hyatt brands.
The Unbound Collection by Hyatt
NUMU (San Miguel de Allende, Mexico)
A 44-key boutique hotel slated for opening in early 2023, this property marks the brand’s arrival in the Mexican city. It will boast 3 onsite eateries and the new room key in Apple Wallet feature.
Grand Hansa Hotel (Helsinki, Finland)
The hotel will join the brand and reopen under its new colours in summer of next year. The first Hyatt branded hotel in Finland will offer 219 guestrooms and 5 suites, as well as keyless access and high-end amenities.
Noor-Us-Sabah Palace (Bhopal, India)
The heritage hotel will undergo extensive renovation works before reopening in 2025. It is expected to house 60 guestrooms.
Hotel in development (Crans-Montana, Switzerland)
A luxury 41-key establishment located in the Swiss Alps; this boutique hotel is set to open its doors in December 2023. It will offer Swiss Chalet cuisine and front row sporting experiences for its guests.
The brand also has plans to open a second property in Tokyo over the course of the next year.
In 2022, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt added 7 hotels across Europe, Asia, and North America to its portfolio.
Destination by Hyatt
Banyan Cay Resort and Golf (West Palm Beach, Florida)
The brand will make its debut in Florida when this golf resort opens in summer 2023. Its amenities will include 2 resort pools, 3 in-house gourmet restaurants, and a full-service spa.
The Grand Resort Qingchengshan (China)
The 231-room resort will be located within proximity to 2 UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Mount Qingcheng and Dujiangyan. The major city of Chengdu will be a 2-hour drive from the property, and it will also be accessible by train.
In 2022, Destination by Hyatt added 3 hotels in Italy, the UK, and the US to its portfolio.
JdV by Hyatt
The Pell (Middletown, Rhode Island)
A brand first in Rhode Island, the hotel will open its doors in early 2023. Its amenities will include a library and an onsite restaurant. The property will also offer easy access to the area’s beaches, walking trails, historic landmarks, and wineries.
FirstName Bordeaux (Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France)
Located in the very centre of Bordeaux, the 147-key establishment will welcome its first guests in early 2023.
FILA HOUSE Shanghai (China)
The inaugural FILA-branded hotel in the world will open its doors in 2024.
Ronil (Baga, India)
Set on 1.6 acres of land, the hotel will boast 125 guestrooms, 2 eateries, and 2 pools. It will constitute the fourth Hyatt property in the region.
In addition to these openings, Hyatt will add a further 31 hotels to its portfolio following an exclusive collaboration agreement with Lindner Hotels relating to the Lindner Hotels & Resorts and the me and all hotels brands. The majority of the 31 European-based hotels concerned by this deal are expected to fall under JdV by Hyatt’s colours.
In 2022, JdV by Hyatt opened 1 new property in Taiwan.
Each brand in the Independent Collection offers distinct properties that are all unique and feature one-of-a-kind experiences for every occasion with more than 100 properties worldwide across all three brands – from on-site beekeeping and aerial yoga at Rancho Pescadero, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand, to embracing local history in Kelso, United Kingdom at Schloss Roxburghe Golf Hotel, part of the Destination by Hyatt brand.
