Holiday Inn – The Niu Flux, a new hotel in Passau, Germany, marks the first opening under the partnership between Novum Hospitality and IHG Hotels & Resorts. This upper-midscale hotel combines sustainability, contemporary design, and amenities, providing a welcoming environment for both business and leisure travelers.

Sustainable construction and energy efficiency

The hotel has been constructed using wooden modular building techniques, demonstrating the commitment to sustainable practices. It features a geothermal energy system for heating and cooling, along with a photovoltaic system that meets the hotel's electricity needs. The hotel also contributes excess energy back to the public grid.

Convenient location for guests

Located in southern Passau, near the Danube River, the hotel offers excellent transportation access. Passau Central Station is just 3.5 km away, with the A3 motorway nearby. Guests can also easily visit local attractions, including the historic old town, the Danube promenade, and nearby shopping areas.

Design reflecting local heritage

The hotel's design is inspired by Passau’s location at the confluence of three rivers—Danube, Inn, and Ilz. The interior incorporates flowing fabrics, marbled surfaces, and pastel colors, reflecting the city’s Baroque architecture. The design is complemented by artwork from artist Bobbie Serrano, adding modern elements to the space.

Holiday Inn – The Niu Flux offers 129 rooms, each equipped with flat-screen TVs and Bluetooth soundbars. The hotel includes a lobby that serves as both a coworking space and a social area for guests. Additional amenities include meeting spaces, a wellness area with an indoor pool, and a fitness center.

A step forward in sustainable hospitality

The opening of Holiday Inn – The Niu Flux is the first in a series of planned sustainable hotel developments from Novum Hospitality and NXTBAU. This project marks the beginning of a collaboration to create ten more hotels built using modular construction techniques.
