Habitas is doubling its Moroccan portfolio with the arrival of its Caravan concept on the shores of Dakhla next January. The eco-hospitality player has plans to grow its presence in the North African country to 4 properties.
After the success of Caravan Agafay, Habitas will open a new property that combines its Caravan concept with a kitesurfing school on Dakhla Lagoon, which is famed as a water sports hotspot. Caravan Dakhla will be based on the key pillars of Adventure, Music, Wellness, Food, Art & Culture, and Learning in order to help its guests reconnect with nature.
Caravan Dakhla will offer 24 Moroccan guestrooms, a Moroccan restaurant and bar, a swimming pool, a yoga and wellness centre, an outdoor cinema, a barrel sauna, a cold plunge, and a signature Agora communal gathering space.
The kitesurf school will be set up in collaboration with renowned professional, Robbie Naish. Its selection of teachers, many of whom are pro kite surfers, will teach classes suitable on both wind and no-wind days for guests of all levels.
Guests at the Caravan will not be restricted to just kitesurfing, other sporting activities such as surfing, mountain biking, off-roading, and XPT Fitness Training will also be available. Additionally, Sahrawi tea ceremonies, collaborations with local artists, live music events, and wellness schemes will be programmed throughout the year.
Conscious of the importance of giving back to the local community, Habitas will donate $10 to its RISE Fund for every guest that stays at Caravan Dakhla.
