Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Atlantic Coast Hospitality, a subsidiary of real estate development firm Q Holding, have announced the opening of a luxury hotel in the Moroccan capital. The property will be housed in a renovated 19th century palace overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It is set to be Four Seasons’ 4th property in the country.
Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr is expected to welcome its first clients this year. The hotel will boast 204 guestrooms and suites, 7 restaurants and lounges, a spa with treatment rooms and an indoor pool, several outdoor resort-style pools, and an expansive conference and event space.
The palace is known as “castle of the sea” (Kasr Al Bahr) and was originally constructed as a royal summer palace in the 1800s. It later served as a military hospital before closing in 1999. The building and its 5-hectare site have been extensively renovated.
Gregory Viaud has been appointed as the hotel’s General Manager. The 19-year Four Seasons veteran and his team have already started working to prepare the property for the arrival of its first guests.
