Hotel Danieli, Venezia, Four Seasons

In partnership with Gruppo Statuto, the hotel group will make its first foray into the Venetian market when it takes over management of the Hotel Danieli. The opening of Hotel Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel is set for 2025. This move will bring the group’s portfolio in Italy to 6 properties.

Located on the Grand Canal close to Piazza San Marco, the new hotel will occupy three buildings: the Palazzo Dandolo, the Palazzo Casa Nuova and the Palazzo Danieli Excelsior. Two bridges will link the 19th century palazzos to the 14th century Dandolo. The Danieli is a historic luxury hotel in the city and its rich cultural heritage and Gothic architectural style will be maintained under the new management of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

Extensive renovation work will be carried out on the buildings, however during this period the property will remain open to guests in a reduced capacity under the name The Hotel Danieli, Venezia and be managed by Gruppo Statuto. Designer and long-time Four Seasons collaborator, Pierre-Yves Rochon, will oversee the interior design of the new hotel.

The hotel’s rooms will offer guests view over the Grand Canal as well as the surrounding city and bay. It will also feature four restaurants and bars, and seven meeting and event spaces. New arrivals will be welcomed into the hotel by boat via the Grand Canal.

The opening shows that despite the saturation of the highly competitive hospitality sector in Venice, major hotel groups are still as attracted as ever to the Queen of the Adriatic.

Hotel Danieli is a renowned and historic property in Venice, and we are confident that our partnership with Four Seasons will help usher the Hotel into its next chapter, maintaining the standard of quality and excellence that guests have come to expect of the Hotel.

Giuseppe Statuto, owner of Gruppo Statuto

With Hotel Danieli, we are adding another iconic property to our Italian portfolio, where we will honour the historic legacy of this Venetian landmark while also introducing the exceptional Four Seasons service experience to one of Italy's most popular destinations.
