Capital One Travel announces new curated hotel selection and airport lounge concept

Capital One Travel is seeking to reinvent travel by launching two new schemes. Premier Collection, a selection of hundreds of luxury hotels and resorts around the world, and Capital One Landing, a new alternative to the traditional airport lounge, will seek to shake up the industry.

Premier Collection features hundreds of hand-picked luxury properties from villas, private island retreats to boutique design hotels and beyond, located all over the world. The collection is accessible via Capital One Travel and is also available to Venture X cardholders. Cardholders will enjoy premium benefits and elevated earnings from their stays, such as unlimited 10X miles per dollar on bookings, daily breakfast for two or a $100 experience credit. Hotels involved in the selection include:

  • The Ned NoMad, New York City
  • Le Pavillon de la Reine, Paris
  • Montage Laguna Beach, California
  • 1 Hotel South Beach, Florida
  • COMO Castello Del Nero, Italy
  • Hotel Cafe Royal, London
  • Majestic Hotel, Barcelona
  • The Carlin Hotel, New Zealand
  • The Plettenberg, South Africa

Capital One Landing is focussed on bringing elevated dining experiences to airport lounges. Capital Travel One is teaming up with José Andrés Group to develop this culinary offer, which will be based on Spanish-style tapas. The concept will initially be rolled out in two airports: Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and New York’s LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal B. The company has plans to expand the concept with openings at Denver International Airport and Dulles International Airport in the pipeline for early 2023.

Travel is a huge part of my life, and food is deeply linked to the travel experience. It’s the best way to learn about a place and its people. But as someone who spends a lot of time in airports, many times I find myself wanting more. When Capital One came to us with the idea of creating a new kind of dining experience, our team immediately started to think of the Spanish tapas way of eating with the bounty of American farms and traditions – the very best of both countries. We cannot wait to share these new Capital One Landings with the people of the world!
