Bulgari Hotels & Resorts have announced the opening of a new hotel in the brand’s hometown. Bulgari Hotel Roma will open its doors in Piazza Augusto Imperatore n.10 on 9th June 2023.
Located in the Campo Marzio neighbourhood, near to sites such as the Mausoleum of Emperor Augustus, the Spanish Steps, and Bulgari’s flagship store, the hotel will be housed in a 1930s building designed by Italian Rationalist architect Vittorio Ballio Morpurgo.
Its interior design will be signed by ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. The property’s interiors will blend elements of Imperial Rome and rich textures with Murano glass lamps, handmade mosaic rosettes, and custom tapestry art.
Bulgari Hotel Roma will boast 114 lodgings, the majority of which will be suites. The 300 m² Bulgari Suite will include a large master bedroom, a living space, and a private dining room.
The property’s F&B offer will consist of six restaurants and bars. Il Ristorante – Niko Romito will serve up contemporary Italian cuisine curated for Bulgari by the Michelin star chef of the same name.
La Terrazza will be a rooftop lounge inspired by the gardens of ancient Roman villas. From atop the building, guests will be able to take in a 360° panoramic view of the Eternal City.
The 1,500 m² Bulgari Spa will seek to recreate the experience of the bathhouses of antiquity. It will feature nine treatment rooms, a 25 m pool, a vitality pool, and a fitness area.
The new flagship will constitute the 9th property in Bulgari Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio after the opening earlier this year of Bulgari Tokyo. Future openings in the Maldives, Miami, and Los Angeles are set for 2025 and 2026.
The opening of Bulgari Hotel Roma is a real milestone for Bulgari as it will be finally possible to welcome our guests in the Maison’s hometown, the city which has been a source of inspiration for all our magnificent jewellery creations since the Brand foundation. The Bulgari Hotel Roma is a real “temple” of luxury hospitality embodying all the Brand values such as exceptional craftmanship, precious materials, Italian contemporary yet timeless design, excellence, and glamour. We are thrilled to open such an amazing property and we envision the Bulgari Hotel Roma to shine as the ultimate luxury experience crafted by the Roman Jeweller of Hospitality in the Eternal City.
