Sustainable hotel brand Beyond Green, part of Preferred Hotel Group, has welcomed five new member properties located across Italy and the United States.
Lefay Resort & SPA Lago di Garda, Gargano, Italy
Located on Italy’s Lake Garda, the five-star resort features 96 suites, a spa, and two restaurants and bars. Opened since 2008, Lefay Resorts is one of the first Italian tourism company to sign an agreement with the Ministry of the Environment for projects aimed at neutralising CO2 emissions.
Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti, Pinzolo, Italy
Inaugurated in 2019, Lefay Resort is set within a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Italy’s Dolomite Mountains. The resort offers 88 suites and 21 residences, two restaurants and bars, a spa, and all-season access to mountain sports. Investment in technology has enabled the hotel to create renewable energy sources such as a biomass furnace and co-generation plant.
Edgewood Tahoe Resort, Nevada, US
The resort features 154 rooms, a spa, golf course, and three dining venues. Since opening in 2017, it has introduced electric car charging stations, recycling and community clean-up programmes, a reduction of water and chemical usage, and increased the local wildlife around the golf course and Edgewood Creek. Thanks to its sustainable commitment, the hotel is LEED Silver certified.
The Palms Hotel & Spa, Florida, US
This family-owned and oceanfront resort offers 251 rooms, The Palms AVEDA Spa, and a restaurant which serves locally sourced ingredients. The hotel operates with close to zero disposable plastics and has implemented a fully automated in-room energy management system to control lighting and air conditioning.
Inn by the Sea, Maine, US
The 62-room Inn by the Sea; located in Portland, offers one- and two-bedroom suites with private exterior entrances, a LEED certified spa, and sustainable restaurant Sea Glass. The resort includes indigenous nectar gardens, and the team is working to resort the habitat for endangered species.
The new hotels bring the total portfolio at Beyond Green to 31 properties in 18 countries.
