Abama Resort has invested €14 million in the construction of a new building in the heart of the south Tenerife destination. The lifestyle venue will enhance resort's dining and leisure offering.
Named La Plaza, the new lifestyle space will offer retail and dining spaces, as well as a private club. Some of the private club amenities, including the lobby, solarium, and infinity pool, will belong to the resort's two newest residential communities. These will be the first parts of the resort to open.
The second phase of La Plaza will provide additional facilities and catering options. It is planned for the 4th quarter of 2023. The existing facilities will be complemented by a 3rd restaurant, a Coffee Corner snack bar, a fitness centre, and a spa. The spa will feature massage rooms, a water circuit, and a salon.
The building has been designed by architects Virgilio Gutiérrez and Eustaquio Martínez in collaboration with Herzog & Demeuron. Mexican architect and interior designer Alejandro Escudero designed and decorated the interior of La Plaza, including its restaurants, reception areas and swimming pool.
