After almost 12 years as CEO of the EHL Group, Prof. Michel Rochat has announced that he will step down at the end of 2022.
Following Prof. Rochat's announcement, the President of the EHL Group Board of Directors, Dr. Carole Ackermann, announces:
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank Michel Rochat for his great professionalism, his daring to cross borders, his benevolence at all times and his unfailing commitment. He is a unifying and visionary business leader, and we will miss him.
Mr. Rochat will stay on to ensure a smooth transition. The recruitment process for the new CEO was initiated well in advance to ensure a smooth handover, and we are now in the final stages of this process. The new CEO will be announced as soon as his appointment has been confirmed.
During Prof. Rochat's tenure, the Group has achieved great success: worldwide recognition in hospitality management education; its application restaurant has maintained a Michelin star for 3 consecutive years; training programs at all levels have been launched; and international expansion has been initiated with the establishment of a campus in Singapore.
In his thanks to the EHL Group, Prof. Rochat states:
I am deeply grateful for all the experiences and human relationships I have been able to build at EHL, which have deeply enriched me.
Michel Rochat is preparing to focus on other projects such as his position as President of the Office des Vins Vaudois and Vaud Promotion, as well as other board positions in the engineering and service sectors.
