Hospitality Operator Forum-Micheal Levie

Should we break out the life jackets? The hospitality sector has weathered many storms. How should you equip yourself for the heavy weather ahead? Join us at the Hospitality Operator Forum on 29 May to find out.

I would like to become a Hospitality ON member to be able to take part.

After a rich career in the hospitality industry, during which he was vice-president of operations at Sonesta and then moved on to NH Hotel Group, Michael Levie drew on his experience in the field to co-found the Citizen M concept with Rattan Chadha in 2005.

20 years later, the group is present in North America and Europe with several dozen units. Michael will be sharing his vision of the transformation of the sector and consumer expectations with participants at the Hospitality Operator Forum. Alongside Gilles Moyse and Maxime Blondeau, his keen eye for changes in hotel concepts and the foundations on which these changes are based will provide food for thought.

Gilles Moyse has a doctorate in Artificial Intelligence and is Chairman of reciTAL, an AI start-up dedicated to the automatic processing of language and documents. In September 2023, he published "Donnerons-nous notre langue au ChatGPT?" (Will we rely on Chat GPT?), with a preface by Etienne Klein. He has taught AI at Sciences Po and ESCP Europe. He was a member of the G20 Entrepreneurs delegation and received the AI Awards Paris. Gilles Moyse will be signing his book for early arrivals.

Maxime Blondeau is an author, speaker and entrepreneur. Over 110,000 subscribers follow his Cosmorama newsletter and his daily posts on Linkedin. Since 2016, he has been teaching at Sciences Po Paris and the Ecole des Mines, on the mechanisms of representation of territory and technologies. In a word, cosmography. In addition to his work as an advisor to public and private organisations, he has given nearly 80 lectures since 2022, and produces audiovisual content dedicated to climate, territory and the ecological transition. His first book, Géoconscience, is scheduled for publication in 2025.

And let's not forget the students who will be honoured at the Young Talents Awards ceremony for their work on challenges submitted by :

  • Booking.com : How Booking.com together with the hoteliers can improve the "Sustainable Travel Business"
  • Grape Hospitality: How can you innovate The People Ho(s)tel hybrid model from check-in to departure?
  • IHG: Find innovative ways for hotels to create and sustain a learning culture
  • MKG Consulting: Propose new CSR measurement indicators for hospitality back-office operations.

The first part of the afternoon will be devoted to Brain Trusts organised and run by MKG Consulting on key topics for hospitality professionals.

Finally, let's take a look in the rear-view mirror at the history of Europe's number one hotel group, in the presence of its co-founder Paul Dubrule.
