Global Lodging Forum 2016

For the Global Lodging Forum 2016 that will be held next 21 & 22 March, MKG Consulting will take a look at the structure of the supply and players in hospitality in its presentations; from a marketing angle, it will look at consumer expectations and behavior and close with an approach by destination in order to identify key elements that lead to their success.

MKG Consulting will shed light on the different aspects of the new Hospitality landscape in three presentations:

  • "2016, Bulldozing the global hotel landscape : what are the next steps ?": MKG Consulting will present the current strategies of different players, by analyzing the financial dynamics and the importance of new shareholder profiles. The presentation will cover the lack of renewed supply since the 2000s, a "lost decade" for hospitality that is coming to a close and beginning a new cycle. No, the hotel industry can no longer be considered alone, but as part of a larger family of commercial accommodations including a variety of players.
  • "New clients, new behaviors: the keys to making customers happy": How to understand the real expectations and satisfaction of customers through e-reputation? What are the connections between e-reputation and a hotel's quality? The presentation will also zoom in on the expectations of different customer profiles, as well as on the growing importance of time of consumption over consumer profile.
  • Finally, MKG Consulting will provide the keys to understanding "What are the new "unicorns" that will give destinations their wings," through a comparative analysis of customer satisfaction of thirty or so destinations in Europe and worldwide. This benchmark will make it possible to analyze which destinations perform the best, depending on their profile (events, equipment, etc.) It will end with an analysis of the dynamics of different destinations to show to what extent the creation of supply and the price competitiveness impacts tourist demand at a destination.
