
Almost 700 participants have gathered in the salons of the Hilton Arc de Triomphe Paris during the evening which celebrated the performance and achievements of hotel groups, brands and personalities through 12 different trophies awarded last November 18. This massive attendance is an obvious proof of the importance of this international rendez-vous. A large number of chairmen, presidents and CEO, together with their close staff have made their way to Paris to participate in this grand celebration of the hotel industry. They put aside for some time the threats of an overwhelming crisis that will affect every sector of the economy. But indeed, the dynamism of the brands and of their operating teams, the renewal of concepts and the importance granted to human dimension demonstrate that the industry is better equipped today to face all the potential troubles caused by the crisis. The discussions after the ceremony were much animated and festive. Gloomyness is not a common feeling shared by hoteliers.
