Since 2019, SOFITEL BOGOTA VICTORIA REGIA is the first ACCOR South American Hotel to be Free of one time use plastic.
Since 2019 we are the first Hotel Accor in the Region to be Free of Single Use Plastic and during this time we have kept these actions active.
In 2021 we continued looking for Alternatives to minimize the use of plastic in our articles and we have implemented other practices to keep this certification.
Some new practices that we have implemented are new alliances with other Local Companies that recover areas affected by deforestation affected areas through the development of nursery gardens with more than 8000 trees and 2000 seeds.
We also have talked with our Fruit and vegetables suppliers to eliminate plastic packaging of products. Moreover, Amavilo (our goat milk supplier) got the green business certification because of the reforestation plan that they created. In fact, they recover the ground where goats graze.
We support our local suppliers in their commitment with the environment. For instance, our aromatic herbs provider “Royal Fruit” has developed their biodegradable packaging to eliminate plastic.
