Summary _ I started my career in hospitality as a kitchenhand followed by being a room attendant in the Netherlands when I was sixteen. During an internship as a receptionist in Germany at the age of 17 I decided that hospitality was for me. What followed was a variety of hospitality jobs to gain more experience and a study at 'Hotelschool The Hague' to get the right education to pursue my dream of becoming a GM and/or owning my own hospitality businesses. Now at the age of 40 1 can say I have done both successfully and I have officially achieved my dream!_ So what is ahead? One thing is for sure I want to continue my contribution to the hospitality industry on alllevels and continue to grow as a true hospitality professional. However more importantly I also want to continue to share my passion and assist the future hospitality generation to achieve their dreams and show them what a wonderful industry the hospitality is. The New Zealand hospitality industry has seen great growth in product, service levels and education over the last 10 years. lt has been exciting to be part of this and I am looking forward to be an integral part of the continuous growth in product and service levais as weil as the development of the future generation of New Zealand hospitality professionals.
