Among the three trophies awarded to the best general managers of the year at the 14th Worldwide Hospitality Awards ceremony, Sébastien Mariette, who directs the Kempinski Hotel Wuxi & Kempinski Hotel Yixing, received the prize for the Luxury category. At 37 years of age, Sébastien Mariette has worked for Kempinski for six years and has climbed the ladder to the head of the group's two hotels in China: the Kempinski Wuxi for 400 rooms and the Kempinski Yixing for 446 rooms, the opening of which he oversaw in January 2013. The General Manager remains convinced that the personnel are the most valuable assets of any 5-star establishment and is proud to have recruited and developed many talented individuals within his teams.Sébastien Mariette began his career at Disneyland Resort Paris within different departments before obtaining his first General Manager position.
