This was a very emotional display of love and affection where we creatively illuminated “a heart” symbol on the premises of the hotel to show the world that we stand with them during these hard times of COVID-19 and Lockdown. This heart is “lit” every night for the world to see and hopefully shine a little light in their lives during these dark times.
The Engineering team came up with a room numbers that would make the symbol of the heart. Each day for a month amidst the pandemic went to light the same rooms manually. Kampala at this time was so quiet because everything had been shut down in the pandemic. Other hotels around closed doors and only Sheraton Kampala hotel remained open with just 4 hotel guests. BY the social media reaction it shows that people really were engaged . Speer headed by our Director of Sales and marketing we made Kampala alive .
