An alumnus of Les Roches, Luis comes from a family immersed in tourism and hospitality. So it was a dream role for him – just four years after graduation – to become part of the opening team at the first Four Seasons Hotel in his native Spain. He is today Front Desk Manager at the 200-room Four Seasons Madrid.

I have experience in all areas of the Front Office operations, with expertise in efficiency and profitability, recognition among my network and responsibility for the Front Desk and Guest Services operation at the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid.

Passion, commitment, perseverance and hard-work are the four key traits that have always guided me through the journey. Born within a family immersed in the tourism industry, luxury hospitality had always been my number one choice. This together with my passion for multicultural atmospheres, interacting with people and my interest in numbers helped in my choice to study International Hospitality Management at Les Roches Marbella.

My curiosity for entrepreneurship, together with my admiration for my father’s career, made me specialize in SME, graduating with honors and distinction. I’ve always thought that before building your own dreams it is always better to have a solid base, so I decided to learn the basics from some of the best professionals in the industry.

I had the chance to start my career with a first national experience as a Front Office trainee at Hotel Hesperia Madrid, a part of NH hotels. The next step in my journey took me all the way to Prague, Czech Republic, where after completing a six month internship (also as Front Office trainee) I was called upon post-graduation to work for them as a full-time Rooms Division Agent. What I planned as being an 18-month experience turned out to become almost four years of my life. I was fortunate to cross paths with the person I will always consider as my mentor, who guided my steps towards the Night Manager position and then, only a year and a half later, to the Assistant Front Desk Manager position.

I said goodbye to Prague in February 2020 to take on a dream role as part of the opening team at the first Four Seasons Hotel in Spain. Despite going through one of the most historically challenging times, with the devastating global pandemic whipping the world, we managed to complete our first year of operation with lots of effort and a big smile behind the face masks we were forced to wear. The hard work invested in the process was recognized by my colleagues and managers and I was promoted to the Front Desk Manager position, thus completing the dream.

My day to day work is aligned with the Four Seasons Golden Rule: “To treat others as we'd wish to be treated ourselves”. As the next step in my career I look forward to continuing to broaden my knowledge within the Rooms Division department to become one of the youngest Director of Rooms in the company.
I truly believe in the passion for this industry and look forward to sharing it with the new generations that are about to join us.
