Ibis Styles launched in 2013 its Spirit of Service: HAPPY MOOD MAKERS!
The ambition of the ibis Styles brand is to become THE preferred budget hotel brand, by creating a Happy Mood among customers, through creative hotels with multiple styles. One of the main challenges in achieving this ambition is to create the ibis Styles Service Spirit.
Why should we do this? To make the experience of our customers 100% unforgettable, to affirm the personality of the brand and to unite all those who work for ibis Styles around a common culture.
Numerous teams in different countries rolled up their sleeves and worked together for 18 months: operations, human resources, marketing, franchise partners, customers, employees... and that's how HAPPY MOOD MAKERS was born in January 2014!

Campanile Concours des Chefs
The project is first and foremost a local initiative, emanating from the Campanile teams in the Nord region. It all began in 2014, when François Deram, regional manager of hotels in management, decided to organise a gastronomic competition between the Campanile hotels in the North, in order to showcase the work of the chefs and their expertise.
Following the success of the event, Campanile hotels in other regions also decided to take part and elect their own champions. Ile de France, Centre-Méditerranée, Est, Ouest-Bretagne, Sud-Ouest, Normandie and Rhône-Alpes soon joined in. The national final soon became an obvious choice.

Accor – Elevate
What is Elevate? An app that offers you a chance to become genuine ambassadors for the Group and to convey the Feel Welcome spirit worldwide. Not bad right?
The organization has over 250,000 employees spread across the globe. The diversity and sheer number can make it difficult to communicate its vision, strategies and values internally and externally.
That’s why AccorHotels developed an employee advocacy program to help boost its employees’ personal branding, and as a way to humanize and publicize its brand messaging. Here is what AccorHotels learned about building a sustainable program that connects employees with the brand, and the brand with their networks.
Change 100 – IHG’s internship programme supporting students with disabilities
Change 100 is a UK award-winning programme of paid summer work placements and mentoring for students and recent graduates with a long-term health condition or disability, including physical, visual or hearing impairments, mental health conditions, learning disabilities and learning difficulties like dyslexia. It aims to unlock the untapped potential of students and graduates with disabilities, while giving organisations access to a talent pool bursting with ability, creativity and unique insights.
The programme was developed in 2017 by two senior leaders within IHG Europe – Jean-Charles Denis (now VP of Commercial, Europe) and Joanna Kurowska (now Director of Operations, Northern Europe) – after they recognised that there was a lack of disability representation within IHG. They were inspired to undertake the search for a partnership that could connect IHG with young people with disabilities looking for experience within a global leader in the hospitality industry. After searching they came across a new campaign by the Leonard Cheshire Charity – Change 100. The principal behind Change 100 is to place students, with either a visible or invisible disability, into a worthwhile paid internship for 100 days. The charity also then supports the student for a further three months after the placement to mentor and support them to get the most out of their placement and to leverage the internship to its fullest.
