For its 21st edition, the hospitality industry's most prestigious celebration of innovative initiatives, the Hospitality Awards, welcomes Satya Anand, President EMEA of Marriott International, as the ceremony's President.
For the past 21 years, Hospitality ON has hosted the Hospitality Awards competition, which honors innovation and excellence in the hospitality industry. The event is recognised around the world as a concepts and methods developer, a source of discovery, a reference point for best practice and a source of inspiration.
This year, Satya Anand President EMEA Marriott International, will preside over the ceremony. Satya Anand was appointed President for Europe, Middle East & Africa in October 2020 and is accountable for developing and managing Marriott's hotel portfolio in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, which comprises of 25 brands in 75 countries and territories.
Presidents of the Hospitality Awards
Satya Anand began his career with Marriott International in 1988 and most recently served as Chief Operations Officer, Luxury & Southern Europe and Global Design EMEA from July 2016, where he was responsible for the overall operations of the luxury portfolio in Europe and the complete portfolio of brands in Southern Europe as well as leading the Global Design team. Prior to this, Satya Anand was Europe’s Chief Financial Officer for four years and held Area Vice President roles for Western and Central Europe respectively as well as various Cluster General Manager, operations and finance positions both on and above property.
Satya Anand recently made a column ‘Your future is bright’ for Hospitality ON magazine dedicated to Hospitality Management Schools where he instilled hope to young professionals in a time of global health crisis.
