No matter the storm, no matter the headwinds, by breaking the wind and joining the forces, we make our journey safe and successful.
Marriott International saw potential with the team in an undeveloped area. An area that no one before had seen opportunity for its economic growth and contribution for the community that was so needed.
Even through hardship, as the franchise went bankrupt four months prior to opening the hotel, the team never looked away from its goal. With new investors on board, all team members kept going and we opened Marriott’s first hotel in Iceland.
It was a joint task force of Marriott Franchise Services and Hotel Owners to set out a plan to take over the franchise agreement and execute the first Marriott branded Hotel in Iceland.
Again, we traveled safely through the storm together as in the Wedge Flight.
