C Resorts, a new lifestyle brand by Constance: Come play, let go, feel free!

Constance Hospitality Management, known as a pioneer of prestige hotels in the Indian Ocean, with its luxury hotel brand Constance Hotels & Resorts, announced in 2018 the opening of its first hotel under its new brand C Resorts in December 2019.

Positioned on the upper-up scale segment, the sister brand of Constance Hotels & Resorts combines comfort and style, all driven by an upmarket and upbeat local energy. C Resorts aims to be a collection of vibrant, convivial, upper upscale lifestyle hotels aimed primarily at those travellers born between 1965 and 1982, the generation X -an age group, who want to escape from the challenges of everyday existence and at those who want a sociable, convivial holiday, looking for a hotel that embraces a sense of fun and creativity while at the same time offering a 4 star plus level of comfort and facilities.

These passionate travellers are looking for memorable life experiences, discoveries and encounters in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere guaranteeing comfort and quality. Tired and stressed in their daily lives, while on holiday they are looking for a little liberation – as well as a touch of adventure –to rediscover their inner child.

Jean-Jacques Vallet, CEO of the hotel group says: “C Resorts will share the same core values of excellence and innovation as Constance Hotels & Resorts, while expressing its own personality through a creative, fun and authentic atmosphere. We want it to be somewhere guests can rediscover the free spirit of their childhood and disconnect from the daily grind of adult life. ”The concept behind the brand, Nature’s Playground, promises guests a bold and surprising hotel experience, combining the charms of an exceptional natural setting with a dynamic environment, encouraging interaction between travellers.”

The first hotel under the C Resorts brand, C Mauritius, opened in December 2019 with all hotel facilities available. Situated on the eastern coastof the island, overlooking one of the most pristine and beautiful beach of Mauritius, the resort fully embodies the C Resorts concept and lifestyle and will be the prototype for all other new properties opening under this brand to follow. The French interior designer Marc Hertrichhas worked on the design, alongside Indian Ocean based architect Marie Ange Kreitman Taylor and together they have created a warm ambiance and stylish décor that combines comfort and style in a contemporary way.

C Mauritius features in total 116 rooms, three pools, three restaurants and a large spa. The hotel runs on a premium all-inclusive basis, including a wide array of international spirits brands and handpicked wines, further adding to the social and lively environment.

The concept behind the brand, promises guests a bold and surprising hotel experience, where they will love to go out for their rooms to enjoy fully the dynamic environment and C experience. Indeed, 12 original guest experiences–the ‘Cignatures’ – differentiate a holiday at C Resorts. These include:

  • ‘Cwing’- giant swings for guests to use and feel like a child again.
  • ‘Cascade’-huge jellyfish shaped shower on the beach which plays music.
  • ‘Circuit’ -an outdoor gym which will get guests out in to the nature using equipment made from natural materials -for example by using logs as weights and having a boot camp on the beach.
  • ‘C Trek’ -treks of the island , to Le Pouce mountain, with other guests - guided by a member of staff who really knows the area and give local perspective and stories.
  • ‘Club House’ - a club house that is an activity centre on the beach with loads of beach games and nautical equipment like Stand up paddles and giant floating mattresses.
  • ‘Sessions by the C’ – regular party nights with guests DJ’s on the beach until the moonrise.
  • 'Cpicerie'-a large deli located at the heart of the resort where guests can get their barista coffee and pastry at any of time of day so they are not confined to certain breakfast/lunch hours in the restaurants. This also encourages a feeling of community -instead of sitting in their room ordering room service (there is no room service here) everyone is out and about in the resort. Food and drink in the deli is also included in the all-inclusive package.

C Resorts is driven by a strong concept where accommodation counts but where lifestyle, vibes and atmosphere prevailing at the hotel are the real differentiator.
