We understand and recognise our responsibility to support the local community which began long before The Dixon was conceptualised. The team’s focus is to support local schools and businesses including specifically creating opportunities for young people. All levels of the hotel team are involved with Social Responsibility; from supervisors, departmental managers, hotel management and head office. Our social responsibility is understood at the heart of the hotel, combining our staffs passion of the future of hospitality and inspiring young people.
The Dixon Hotel is situated in Southwark, a London borough with a rich, proud history and strong sense of community. Home to the Shard and world-famous attractions such as the Tate Modern, Borough Market, and Tower Bridge.
We were mindful of the diversity within the local community and targeted our engagement at people and groups who play a critical role in keeping Southwark one of the most exciting and forward-thinking boroughs in London.
With that in mind we our engagement focused on: Schools and local children The local council Community groups Our project is a long term one which started in the pre-opening stages, ongoing and continuously growing since the hotel is operational and supported by all levels, including our Head Office.
The initiatives reflect on the economy, supports the current and future talent of the hospitality industry and also gives back to the local community.
We are excited and passionate about the opportunity to be so involved with the local communities and we hope that our efforts make an impact on SE1.
