{{The Grand Prix Hospitality ON & HTR Magazine}} will be awarded by Hospitality ON & HTR Magazine editorial team to an international hospitality company that has left its mark in 2011 through its achievements in four complementary areas: development, innovation, human resources and commercial performances.

- Thanks to its 600 properties and 43,000 rooms for its Premier Inn brand, Whitbread is the number-one British operator, with a goal to add 22,000 rooms in 5 years, a growth rate that it maintained even throughout the crisis, during which it contributed to the modernization of the British supply by adopting conversion in many instances. 2012, year of the Olympics, will be symbolic of this development with 8,000 rooms on the outskirts of London. After remaining an ambition for a long time, international growth was launched in India and the Middle East with 4 operational hotels and a growing pipeline. Whitbread especially proved to be innovative with two original Minisolus concepts to penetrate city centers, and a “floating” room that considerably reduces noise, making it possible to build in and around especially busy areas. Each year Whitbread’s financial results grow and outperform market results.B&B Hotels - Re-inventor of the budget-hotel concept to which it has given a new-found prestige by reevaluating its architecture, comfort and performance, B & B Hotels is on its way to be number one amongst independent economy chain hotels in France (with its 190 hotels), as well as abroad (43 hotels in Germany, six in Italy, Poland and one in Portugal now). B & B is positioned in the "high end" of the budget-hotel spectrum, meeting the new expectations of business travelers and leisure guests. They are a triple-winner of the Hospitality Awards: in 2006 for the "Best Innovative Concept in Accommodation " category; in 2009 for "Best Communication Campaign"; and in 2010 for "Best Initiative in Sustainable Development". Now owned by the Carlyle, B&B further improved its profitability during the crisis which allowed it to raise capital for intensive development.Hilton Worldwide - The biggest group in America, Hilton Worldwide rose to 3rd place worldwide in 2010 with more than 600,000 rooms. With a pipeline of 45,000 rooms, 40% of which are outside the United States, and mostly in Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East, Hilton Worldwide is working to deserve its new title even more. More than 2.5 million members have joined the Hilton Honors program, which has more than 27 million members, after a campaign intended to double points earned. After revising the marketing strategy of Doubletree by Hilton, the new warhorse alongside Garden Inn, Hilton Worldwide launched a new long-stay brand, Home2Suites. The group intensified its sustainable development policy to control water and energy consumption and limit its carbon footprint. 2010 is a veritable turning point marked by exceptional revenues that made it possible to reduce the debt.Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts - Before his recent death, the founder of the group Mövenpick, Ueli Prater, was able to assess just how far the Mövenpick chain, created in 1976 had come since its beginnings. With 70 operational hotels and thirty under development, the brand has long gone beyond Swiss borders to become solidly established in the Middle East, where it has more hotels than throughout Europe and, is increasingly growing in Asia, a new hunting ground. True to the rigor it inherited from the land of hotel hospitality, in all its 35 years Mövenpick has not abandoned its original purpose: to excel in the upscale without focusing on luxury; to secure its management without debt; to diversify risks whence its shift toward Asia. A company on a human scale, it plays on the decentralization of responsibilities in each region and each hotel, where it centers on 4 values: quality, reliability, and care, with a personal touch.
