Holiday Inn Express expands in Mexico

Selfi Grupo Operador de Estacionamientos, S.A. de C.V. recently began work on IHG's latest Holiday Inn Express in Xalapa, in the Mexican state of Veracruz. The project is being developed by GILCA with a $6 million investment.When completed, the hotel will offer 114 guestrooms within five storeys of a 13-storey building. The establishment will also offer multiple levels of underground parking, two levels devoted to business affairs, and an events hall for up to 400 guests.The region has been of strategic importance to the group, with seven hotels in Veracruz alone (two Crowne Plaza hotels, three Holiday Inn hotels, one Holiday Inn Express, and a Hotel Indigo). Opening is expected in summer 2014 for the XXII Central American and The Caribbean Games in Veracruz.
