
HEI Hotels & Resorts, Norwalk, Connecticut, announced on Monday that it purchased the 360-room San Diego Marriott La Jolla hotel for an undisclosed amount.
The mid-range hotel, located in the Golden Triangle business district of La Jolla, California, is the 41st hotel in HEI’s portfolio since the company was founded in 2002. HEI plans on renovating the 16,000 sq ft (1,480 sq m) hotel next year for US$20 million, which will include changing over the guestrooms, lobby and meeting space and expanding the fitness facilities.The privately-held HEI said it could not disclose the seller or the amount of purchase for contractual reasons.
