Several dozen exhibitions dedicated to professionals are held there, in addition to many annual festivities that address the general public such as Spring Festival and Oktoberfest –events that draw more than one million participants each. Some of the most important salons include Agritechnica (agricultural technologies), CeBIT (new technologies), Domotex (interior decoration), Hannover Messe (industrial technology), the IAA (automotive industry), and Ligna (forestry and woodworking industry).
