As the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) celebrates its second anniversary, Omni Hotels join Kempinski, Pan Pacific and Rydges as the new North American member. Acquired by Cendant, Wyndham needed to be replaced by a new partner. Omni Hotels offers 40 luxury hotels and resorts in leading destinations across North America. GHA is currently incorporating a company, which will be based in Switzerland, from where it plans to expand its membership considerably over the coming months. To spearhead this expansion, GHA has appointed Chris Hartley, formerly Senior VP Sales & Marketing of Kempinski, as its CEO. GHA now consists of 152 upscale and luxury hotels and resorts, spread over 22 different countries.
