With a strong cultural and events program, Vienna attracts increasing numbers of tourists. The destination is thus able to beat its occupancy record once again.

Germany remains in the lead of Vienna's main supply markets with 1.28 million nights (up by 6%), just ahead of Austria with 1.24 million nights (+7%). The United States follows with 348,000 night (+9%), Italy with 328,000 nights (+13%), and the United Kingdom with 237,000 nights (+11%).

In terms of hotel results, growth of indicators is also clear, as data published by MKG Hospitality show. On the first six months of the year, Viennese hoteliers have recorded a 0.1 point increase in their occupancy rate and 4.9% in their average daily rate, leading to 5.1% growth in the Revenue per available room (RevPAR).

While Viennese tourism already recorded a good 2014, the sector's professionals are confident that growth will continue in 2015. The city is thus closing in on its goal for 18 million nights.
