NOVUM Select Hotel City Harbour Amsterdam

After unveiling its development strategy for 2020, the German group gave details of the upcoming opening of its first property in the Dutch market.

Novum Hotel Group recently announced its debuts in the Netherlands: a new hotel is being built at the port of Amsterdam, with an opening planned for 2019. The Novum Select Hotel City Harbour Amsterdam will offer 245 rooms. It will be built at the Cruquiuseiland, with numerous facilities planned such as a Serviced Apartment house operated by the Short Stay Group (an Amsterdam-based company operating 500 apartments across three cities) and a marina with 200 berths for yachts.

After recently making its debuts in Vienna, the German operator also announced it would develop a new hotel in the Hungarian capital. The expansion strategy of Novum Hotel Group across Europe was unveiled at the beginning of this month, aiming to reach 150 units by 2020.

The group portfolio now comprises around 80 hotels, representing a capacity of 7,500 rooms. Novum Hotel Group wishes to strengthen its position in its primary market, Germany, while at the same time expanding to new destinations across the continent through conversions and franchise agreements with international brands.
