The glimmer of hope that brightened April has given way to dreariness in May: renewed activity in April was mostly due to the holiday calendar and this is confirmed by May’s results.

In May, occupancy at properties dropped again with a 1.2 point drop in the occupancy rate with respect to the previous year. As a rule, May is very sensitive to the holiday calendar. It followed an April when Easter and school holidays prevailed. Moreover it included several long weekends this year...
