In March, Holy Week enlivens the Spanish hospitality scene

While the European hotel industry is still struggling, Spanish professionals have been taking their winnings over the month of March due to a favorable calendar of religious events. This year, Holy Week, highly celebrated in the country, took place in March and not in April as was the case in 2012, allowing hotel results to surpasse the zero mark.

According to the data published by MKG Hospitality, Spanish hoteliers have been surfing on a positive trend in March 2013. Various events in the country organized to celebrate Holy Week have let professionals raise their occupancy rates, to 59.5%, as well as their average prices, to 75.1 euros...
