KSL Capital Partners takes over Outrigger Hotels & Resorts

Outrigger Hotels and Resorts (Outrigger) and KSL Capital Partners, LLC (KSL) signed an agreement with a view to the takeover of Outrigger by KSL. This operation represents a portfolio of 37 properties (6,500 rooms operated under the six Outrigger outrigger.

Last year, Outrigger sold its Australian portfolio, which was taken over by the Australian Mantra Group for 29.5 million dollars. The group has now entered negotiations with the investment fund KSL, based in Denver with an idea to acquiring a portfolio of 37 units under the group's six brands including a group of hotels, apartments and resorts. this operation represents 6,500 rooms in Hawaii (Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Island of Hawaii), Guam, Thailand, Maurice and the Maldives. The amount of the transaction has not yet been announced.

Outrigger Hotels & Resorts has been operated by the Kelley family for 70 years. The current management continues to run the business and its headquarters is based in Honolulu, in Hawaii. On this occasion, W. David P. Carey, President and CEO of the group Outrigger Enterprises, who will remain in his position, declared: "KSL is one of the leaders in the hospitality industry, it had the means to bring Outrigger to a second level by injecting additional resources into our current assets, it has the means to accelerate our long-term growth."
