Every month, Vanguélis Panayotis, Development Director of MKG Group, comments on the French luxury hotel performances on Hospitality-On after the the monthly MKG Hospitality results are published. In April, the trend is towards stabilization in the palaces.
"
After a month of March relatively difficult, April remained virtually stable compared to 2012. Parisian palaces stand out from other categories. An almost 13% increase in ADR accompanied by an occupancy growth allow RevPAR to skyrocket versus April 2012 (+18.5%). The leisure weekends clientele with high potential is no stranger to this increase. But a double-tier France is still highlighted, facing Paris the luxury hotels situation in the Riviera is much less enthusiastic. A slight increase in prices with a business clientele increasingly present, allow them to maintain stable performance. In contrast, the weekend performances are increasingly affected by the leisure clientele decline."
