Classement des groupes hôteliers en Europe

Every year, Hospitality ON publishes its European Activity Report with a ranking of groups and brands (by number of rooms) present on the continent.

While the hierarchy of hotel groups in the lead is not contested in 2013, the battle has gotten tougher among the top ten operators. A few changes have taken place at the impetus of British groups and due to the weakened position of NH Hotels.

The economy hotel segment continues to lead growth as the French group B&B Hotels' climb up a rung shows.

In terms of activity, while the persistent effects of the economic crisis may be felt in many sectors, Europe's hotel industry does well with new growth in its performance indicator, the RevPAR, by 2.1% on the year.

A more contrasted European Union continues to hide behind this average. Germany and the United Kingdom acted as the locomotives, as did Central Europe insofar as possible. Countries in the South show a strong penchant towards recovery. France distinguishes itself by losing speed at the end of the year.
