With the city’s events calendar is fuller than ever for the entire year, the initial effects of this intense activity are already being felt on the city’s hotel performances on the first months of 2014, as data published by MKG Hospitality show.
The initial effects of this dynamic of events were already felt on the city's hotel performance in the first months of the year, particularly thanks to several events such as the Gynecology Symposium in February, the AAD Augenärztlichen Akademie Deutschland and the Düsseldorf Allergy Convention in March. This naturally produced a significant increase in hotel indicators between January and April. On the period, occupancy rates were up by 3.3 points over last year to reach 65.2%, for 18.1% growth in average daily rates to 105.2 euros. The Revenue Per Available Room naturally follows the same trend to settle at 68.6 euros, or 24.4% more than last year.
With an events calendar appears to be full for the rest of 2014, Düsseldorf's hoteliers have fine perspectives ahead of them as far as their business is concerned.
