Starwood has signed Aloft Munich and Aloft Stuttgart to introduce their Aloft brand to Germany in 2015. The move satisfies Starwood’s goal to expand their portfolio of mid-market brands in Europe.

Both hotels will be strategically located in the respective city centers, close to transportation and key locations. Aloft Munich will feature 184 guest rooms, while the Stuttgart hotel will offer 165 guest rooms. Both will feature a bar scene, fitness center, and deli, all in an industrial design to give the urban experience. However, Aloft Stuttgart will be part of the MILANEO mixed-use development project, so there will be the addition of extremely convenient shopping, restaurants, entertainment venues, office space, and residential units.According to Roeland Vos, President of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa & Middle East, “We see great opportunities to grow our Aloft portfolio in markets like Germany where there is a strong demand for affordable yet stylish, cutting-edge hotel brands.” The brand is uniquely positioned around a social guest experience, with music lounge and bar, which has proven to be a successful concept with consistently high guest satisfaction scores.
